Brea Architect
Brea is the northern most city in Orange County, bordering Los Angeles County, and was founded in 1911 as an oil boom town. It’s current population is estimated at just over 40,000 residents. Brea is known for its family oriented neighborhoods and shopping and entertainment district such as the Brea Mall and Birch Street Promonade. Brea also has a strong commerce center making it an employment destination.
The architecture of Brea varies by its sub areas. South Brea is defined by older oil company housing built in the 40s, 50s and 60s while North Brea is made up of newer and current tract housing. Along Imperial Highway you will find the shopping and entertainment areas defined by the newer, more contemporary architecture of Birch Street, the brutalesque architecture of the Brea Mall, and the California contemporary Spanish vernacular of the Union Plaza strip mall in East Brea. Along Lambert street in Brea you will also find many concrete tilt-up buildings making up this commerce corridor.
