About Ryan Oldham

Fullerton Architect

Fullerton is a city in North Orange County founded in 1887 and incorporated in 1904.  It has a current population of over 137,000 residents.  Fullerton boomed in the early 1900’s when the railroad was established through Fullerton.  Among other things Fullerton is known for Cal State University Fullerton and as the the birth place of the Fender electric guitar.  Downtown Fullerton supports an active night life and weekday business center.

The architecture in Fullerton is most magnified around the downtown historic business district and train station, encompassing older street front brick facades with newer infill buildings.  Fullerton is also made up of older residential neighborhoods of homes built in the craftsman style homes, newer ranch style homes, and areas of large luxury hilltop homes.  In recent years new planned residential and commercial districts have been developed in West Fullerton encompassing contemporary Southern California Spanish vernacular.  Cal State Fullerton, Fullerton College, and St. Jude Hospital also provide for interesting institutional design.
